It took me awhile but I just finished reading all 52 pages

I love the arm rest on the driver side door the way it has a slight decline. I know this might be nothing compared to all the other comments but next time you're in the car relax your arm, you'll see what I mean.

This may have already been said, but the way people stare because it's just a sexy ride! Esp when I open the front and rear doors & people catch a glimpse of the smooth red & black leather on the inside... it's just a HOT car :-)

Oh...and the fact that I never have to brake on highway overpasses/bridges even with extreme curves...just depress the clutch and let it cruise at 70mph... and the fact that I so rarely have to use first gear... it's just so fun to drive. If you have to commute, might as well enjoy it!

Something I realized like a couple of times is when your on a parkway and doing like 95mph in any other car the steering wheels goes crazy and not as responsive, but in this car its like you pulling out your drive not a jiggle.

Uncanny, eh?

Two other little things I like:

- the feel of the control rings for the HVAC controls, they glide through notches like a high quality jog dial.

- how with all doors and compartments open, the 8 looks like a friggin Transformer, lol. Not that Michael Bay *****, I'm talking about the old school original transformers, which had some semblance of real mechanical parts which could actually change configurations, both in cartoon and toy form.

Haha, that's awesome.

I guess that brings me to yet another thing... the 8 makes me feel like a kid again.

Transformers! I wish cars could be transformed to robots. It might happen in the near future, who knows. It would be fun, don't you think.

I really like the louvers on the AM, I wonder if anyone has ever louvered up an OEM hood?

^ Actually, in those pictures, from that head-on angle, the 8 looks better. Less busy, more iconic.

Heh, agreed, the 8 does look absolutely iconic from that angle. Taken in the parking lot of a Walmart with my iphone, no less! And no, that was not my AM in my garage. Although one day I will have a Bueller garage in the woods with a classic car in it.

Back on topic: I love the little hook that keeps the driver's side floormat from riding forward.

I believe that's an S2 improvement. I had to replace my floor mat and they're identical except for that little hook hole.

The way the shifter fits in your hand is a plus for me. Like it was meant to be. Lol

Also the gsx-r type tach and speed gauge. I happen to have a gsx-r600 08' and I looked down in the car the other day and was like, " I'll be damned it's the same layout!" digital speedometer inside the tach dial. Nice touch!!!

I like how easy it is to do that even without DSC. 50/50 weight balance

Great list...

Its definitely the little things. I have modified my '05 Shinka so I added some other great little things to my 8!

Tien Gas Hood shocks! A must for any under the hood work!

K&N Typhoon intake system. It really makes the engine roar when you want to intill fear in that evo sittin next to you!

Subwoofer level control. I completely upgraded the audio system and in the process installed a sub level control. The acoustics in the RX-8 are perfect and also yield great woofer response. And having a dial to boost the SPLs when you want to is a little slice of heavan!

I love (and hate) the fact that I took three of my co-workers to lunch the twistiest route I could find in my 09 R3, and four days later one of the "backseaters" owned the red 2011 R3 that had been sitting on the local Mazda lot for months. (At least mine is black.)
