I think you become part of the car when driving. It's such a driver's car and responds to your every whim. A truly great machine that balances power with on the road poise and precision.

***** tailgating or wanting to race because you have a real 'sports car' compared to their warmed over hatchback.

yeah i definitely meant the 'inside' feeling you get when driving it.

i definitely agree with the ******* tailgating thing or everyone assuming you're going to do 30 over the posted limit at all times.

Just give tailgaters your brakes. Then you get to laugh when you look in your rearview and see their crappy car nosedive when they have to brake hard.

Or if they hit you, then they can buy you a new rear for your 8.

Just hit 7000-8500RPM in 2nd; and let off the throttle; the flames they get from me help them to see the error of their ways.

I was at a stop light the other day waiting to take a left, when suddenly a girl plastered her face to the window of the car next to me. She was staring in awe. I smiled and waved, but I don't think she even saw me. The light went green and i drove off, with her still staring with the same expression on her face.

It's cool having a nice looking car, but when it looks better then I do, it can be a bit irksome.

good story. The other day I was driving along and noticed a kid looking out the back of his parents car with his phone in hand. He was taking a video, and turning to his dad telling him to look at my 8. People look at like its a ferrari.

hm, here's a few things:

-When I get in my car first thing in the morning before school, it isn't freezing cold, like outside. It's perfect inside the car. And when I come back to it after school it isn't burning hot like outside, it's perfect.

-I can never walk away from it without looking back at it for a few seconds.

-The honk when you lock it is so loud, it scares my friends and innocent people walking by.

-It's ALWAYS fun to drive.

I'll add more as time goes on

^^ yeah I'm pretty sure that every single time I go anywhere, I always look back at my eight when I'm like 10-20 feet away. When I get home from work I often circle around it after parking before going inside, just to admire all the sides. Don't want to driver side getting too jealous, lol.

Even if I'm with people in mid conversation, I'll still turn and look at it in the middle of a sentence. doesn't matter.

i love how this car has so much stuff that people admire that this thread has gone on for 5 years...... wow i think we made a good choice on buying 8s

i know ive read these before but i do love looking back after i get out of the car and admire

the little puddles that are formed on the hood of the car when its raining and stay there while driving

the BBEEEEEEEEP!!!!!

the fact that the engine is slightly bit bigger then the smart cars engine and punches out such a kick

the car sounds like a freaking airplane

the heated mirrors have come in handy a few times with the cold weather around where i live

the best is seeing someone drive by with an 8 and you cruise next to them and you can see the back or hear the exhaust since i never get to see the back of it since im driving all the time

-i like how the driver's seat feels more like a cockpit than anything else

-i like how my friends are always wanting to ride in it instead of their own vehicles

-all the people that stare at the car

-the confused look on people's faces when u tell them it doenst have any pistons

-when u turn the key on, your gauges fade through the bluish color

-how well the car handles

I would like to mention the fact that the heated seats don't get to hot (like in GM cars, you actually have to turn them off or down after a half hour or so of driving). In the winter time I can leave my heaters on all the time!
I would also like to mention my iPod plugs in nicely under the arm rest and my cell phone fits in the sunglasses holder and is very audible when it rings!

Heated seats FTW. when given a choice, people will always choose your car over others cause they love the heated seats.

^ That is the single most favorite thing I like about this car. It has presence doesn't it? it just grabs peoples attention, even me! (the driver!)

Compared to driving in other cars (which feels like either sitting on a chair or feels like riding a horse) the RX8 feels like you are merging into a gorgeous machine. Sort of like the cavity of the seats describe... your place in the design.

I love driving by dark glass buildings and dark shiny cars. I’m not narcissistic, however it appears I am carcissistic. Am I alone on this one??? Have you ever looked forward to driving by a black shiny van, JUST to see your car in motion? Does anyone else suffer this secret inclination??

One last thing. When I'm out with my friends we usually car pool. Leaving my car behind. On the return... My heart leaps as we approach my car. "I'm going to get to drive that home!".

The way the triangle on the hood matches up with the lines on the center of the dash board effectively bringing the outside of the car in as a styling cue.

I second the no wind buffeting when the sunroof is all the way open even at highway speeds, very nice bit of engineering.

Everything in general, this is definately not a follow the leader and conform car in any way at all.

It's probably not my #1 most favorite thing but it's probably #2. I'll find myself looking out my bedroom or bathroom window just to stare at my 8. Any time I see it or walk by it I get a great big grin on my face and I realize how awesome the 8 is.

One of my friends just bought a '09 ford escape. The seats are ok, but after riding 2hrs to Wichita and 2hrs back all I wanted to do is set in my car. It was like coming home to sleep in my own bed after being stuck w/ only a sleeping bag for a couple of nights.

So many things to like about my 8.

Here's one: I'm 6'8". Yup. Everyone asks me how I fit in it. I fit better in the 8 than I did in my old Audi, or in any other car. There is TONS of leg room in the 8! I love how my coworkers defend me when someone asks how I fit. They're as excited as I am, haha.

The trick? I removed the dead pedal. I looked at it carefully, and it's only held in with 2 screws. It is just a hunk of plastic.

I'm not kidding when I say this: I can stretch my left leg all the way out and lock my knee as my foot goes all the way up to the firewall. No other car I have ever been in can do this. There is tons of room under there.

The downside? I prefer the automatic. I have size 16 shoes and my right foot doesn't have the luxury of stretching out as far. My knee is to the right of the steering wheel, 4 o'clock position.

Above it all, I will happily drive my AT 8 over any other car, any day of the week. It literally fits like a glove.

I like driving with no shoes on. More room under there, plus I have a better feel of the pedals.
