The way if you turn the AC vents to the side of the passenger and driver door, the air flows on the curvatures of the door to make it go to the back quickly.

For one-man brake bleeding, you must get Speed Bleeders. You simply open the bleeder 1/4 turn, go back into car, pump the brake 4-5 times or so, shut bleeder, check master cylinder, top off as needed, move to next wheel.....

There are so many "little things", I can't begin to list them. Here are my favs:

1. The steering wheel controls. Makes me feel lazy, but I love being able to control everything from there.

2. A Dodge Hemi truck racing me down the highway the other day, and at the exit ramp, the driver, yelling "You're the man!!!!" and giving me a thumbs up.

3. My wife (that rarely drives my 8 cause it scares her) driving it the other night, and then commenting about how many heads turn as it goes by.

#3 is probably my fav. I love how the heads turn as I drive by.

I love this car!!!!!!!!!

I've had my new 8 for less than a week, and there are a million things that I absolutely love about the car.

One little thing that I don't think anyone has mentioned - the turn signal has just the right amount of forgiveness for turning the opposite direction.

Right near my place is a road that makes a sharp right turn just before an intersection, where I usually turn left. In any other car I've driven on this road, you have to put on your blinker twice because the right turn will cancel out your left turn signal. This occurs in a Ranger, a Tahoe, a RAV4, an Escape, and an Integra.

The RX-8 didn't cancel the turn signal... which I found refreshing!

Another great thing about this car - the seat belt warning beep isn't so loud that it annoys. I always wear my seat belt, but my usual startup process involves starting the car before my seat belt is fastened... so I usually get beeped at for a few seconds. The 8's beep is soft and nice.

I love this car!

Hand assembled engine. How many car owners can claim that?

1. The tense feeling you get when, just 5 miles away from reaching home, you get caught in a traffic jam and realize that a quarter tank of gas might not be enough to make it back. Then with skillful driving, you do make it back! Wonderful feeling ensues.

2. The opportunity to strive for lofty ideals every day, such as the EPA estimate.

.

I can help with that as someone who has ran out at least three times .

1/ Ran out at stop lights & had to push it across the intersection to the station - these cars are easy to push by the way
2/Ranout and managed to coast to the station and pull up next to the pump .
3/ Actually had to get a container this time as station was a mile away .

I run out because I am always trying to squeeze every last km out of the tank - pretty dumb I know but at least I now know the exact position on the guage you will run out - it's a little less than -ve 1/8th of a tank below the E mark

The local natural gas technician was marking lines around my house, and I pulled up in the nemesis car. I got out and he asked if I liked the car. I turned around and smiled. He said Mazda does have a way with making cars look sporty. Then he asked how much HP it had, and I said 200 to the wheels on a good dyno day.

He thought by the looks of it that it had 300 - 400 HP like an exotic might have - LOL

I wish

i don't know if its just me, but i have a mclaren f1 poster in my room and the rx8's front fascia resembles the front of the f1. the black housing headlights, and how the fender and the headlights blend in perfectly with each other. my 8 is sunlight silver and the f1 in my poster is also silver. i can really see similarities from the front of the two cars. i know comparing both cars is like comparing ground beef (best ground beef in the world) to filet mignon. just wanted to share this little thing i love about my 8.

I was stopped at an intersection this weekend and across the street was a hair salon. I looked up and noticed it because there was a bright red sports car reflection shining in the mirror gleaming in the sun. Then I realized it was my bright red sports car smiling back at me.

"hey there good lookin"

when cruising on the highway, I usually adjust my seat in a way, that i cannot push the gas pedal to the floor.
This results me a comfortable half laying-half-sitting position and unvaried speed for the trip.
If I want to drive faster then simple: push the button on the left and the seat moves a bit forward resulting increased pressure on the gas pedal

My first post here! Have had my RX-8 for nearly three weeks now, and already there's so much I love about it!

After several years in Dodge Durango purgatory I love not having to file a flight plan in my head before being able to make highway lane changes, or having to suffer behind a string of soccer mom's in their mini vans for that last mile before my exit. What else?

I love:

- The simple elegance of the inside front door handles.

- Like many others - the subtle blue glow on the dash at night.

- The way the driver's seat swallows you like it was hand crafted just for you, and how you feel like you're at the controls of a Mustang (not the car, the WWII fighter).

- How it makes me a more involved (better?) driver. It's not a car for a lazy person. Involve yourself, make the right shifts at the right time, and the rewards boggle the mind and warm the heart.

- The fact that, no matter what's going on at work or how tiresome the commute, I look forward to climbing into this car and driving each morning. It went from dreading the daily grind to being glad for an excuse to get in the car and go.

- My PARTNERS love that I stay at work later every night because I want the traffic to clear out of downtown so I can "zoom zoom" all the way home.

- I love the gas millage! 19.5 mpg my first week! Remember, I've been driving a Durango.

- How the grocery store manager came running out of the store while the kid was loading up my trunk. Quote: "I love the lines on this car! People see them parked next to a Vette and don't even look at the Vette."

- Lastly, I love how a car like this involves lots of little trade offs . . . and I don't care about any of them.

Or you could do it the lazy way with cruise control and adjust speed per 1mph increment. Love that feature.

Smile What I Like

Regarding things I like. . .

My 5 year old son can get in and out in his own little door!

My son thinks I drive a "super fast race car like Lightning McQueen"

When I take the time to hand wash and wax it, the things looks sexy and cool as hell!!

Just my little things.

Everytime I get out my car I turn back and take double sometimes triple looks at it.

My baby 2yrs. old said, "Weeee"... his first drive in my car...
(He's use to the mini-van.)

My 5yr. old see's a picture of the car on my laptop and asks,
"Mummy is that your RX8" (before I even had the car,he already knew the name!)... Just love it...

My 5yr old just saw the clip for Daywatch and asked if that was my RX8 and said "...that is awesome...there is mummies RX8, how did it get in a movie"...Gotta love kids

My 2yr. old also points to every red car and says, "mama's car"...

My 15yr. old asks me to drive him in the RX8 and not our van...

My daughter goes everywhere I go and likes to open the sunroof and the windows...
She talks with her friends on the phone & when they ask what is she doing she says,
"I'm in my mom's car going to the store..." She has to note the fact that she is in the car which all her friends have seen.

Love the 2 tone interior-blk/red. & 2 tone steering wheel. Feels like a race car. Pretty hot...
