one of the little things i like is when you have your headlights on and lower the little wheel that controls the dashboard and gauges brightness till the gauges turn blue. when i first saw this i was like "ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh" lol
I liked the fact that at my first track day this weekend most of the other noobs with stock street cars kept asking me, "hey did you notice after a couple of laps at the end of the long straight your brake pedal started to get soft because your brakes got too hot!!" And I'd say, "nope didn't notice."
- The way when night driving the temperature **** has a small light on it so you can see where it is pointing.
- The small slots in the center in between the cupholder and bin with charge-port so I can plug the charger in, run the cable through the slot and leave my cell in a cupholder for easy access...nice to me!!
- The wonderful way when I am turning left at a light and waiting for oncoming cars to pass, I can feel all of the eyes in the cars waiting for the light to change eying me enviously.
- The way I actually want to drive at any time in the day, no matter how tired I am.
- The 2 colours for the gauges
- The way every single button lights up at night in a nice red, complemented by the blue lighting in the gauge holes

How many other 30k cars have the same "little things" as a 60k car. I am going in for a test drive tomorrow and am very excited. So long as I continue making straight A's, this car will be mine come june. Thanks again. My image of this car was really waning on the collness factor until I read this. You guys may have made all the difference in my selection of a car!!
the sound and feel is addictive.

Well, we also have an Infiniti QX-4 that we love. But a few things that irk me about the 4 are toally opposite with the 8. Very Refreshing!!!
1) can actually drive over 40 mph with the windows down. You don't have the intense wind pressure that we get with the 4.
2) can open the roof and you don't even know it is open. Can drive interstate speed and there isn't much noise leve lat all.
3) ignition slot illuminated is VERY nice.
4) keyless entry is way cool.
4) I absolutely love the way it likes up inside at night. It's a totally different car at night.
5) windows are tinted on both 4 and 8. 4 is hard at night because the panel reflections on the driver window. Do not get that at all on the 8. Had I known that, I would have went a little darker!! LOL
6) I love all the rotary symbols on the car. They are all over the place if you look closely. Very classy.

just a few little things....looking at your keys and trying to find a reason to take a drive when your at work working on fords all day!!!oh the pain..except when you test drive the s.v.t.s or cobras!!fun but not your 8.
i love the way a 35 mile/hour run in 2nd gear through some twisties and dips reminds me of my go-kart and is more exhilarating than riding in most any other car at any speed. I still wear the grin to prove it.
I like that I spent less than a quarter of the price of an M3 (my car is used) and half the price of my old evo and I got a car with double wishbone front suspension instead of lame 'ol MacPhearson Struts!
I also love holding the DSC button in for more than 8 seconds...

I like driving down the highway in second gear at about 6500rpm past someone with there window down and watching the expression on there face. Having Mazdaspeed exhaust helps a lot!

I love the setting for the instrument panel lights when it turns (a non-annoying) red at night and bright white during the day so you can tell in an instant if you're lights are on when it's light out.
The seats are formed to my body. How did they know my exact size and proportions?!?!
Aside from the obvious pros that all reviews have already covered... I am looking forward to having the car a long. long time. It's an amazing car and has incredible prospects of having tons and tons of 3rd party mods for it. There are a lot out there already, but I'm sure it hasn't even scratched the surface of what's to come.
I'm looking forward to personalizing the car with such mods as soon as I pay it off and free up the money currently going to payments.
Yes, if anyone has seen some of my previous posts... I had a number of issues with mine as it was an early 2004. Most cars, no matter who makes them, have issues for a while when they first release a new car, so it's sort of expected. I love the car and the problems have been a bit of a hassle, but I really must say that Mazda made good on everything without a problem. After so many warranty replaced parts... I practically have a new car again!
Oh yeah... I get comments all the time from the kids at my kids school that open the doors that open the door for them at drop off. They can't help themselves but to say "cool car!" when they open the rear door and see the black & red interior. They're kids, but it's still cool to hear.
One last thing... the small, light motor mounted so low definitely helps how it handles. The suspension can be softer and more forgiving than most performance cars because it doesn't have to work as hard to keep the car from rolling. Other cars have to stiffen the suspension to the point of giving an uncomfortable ride to accomplish the same.

Uh, did anyone tell you I am easily amused. Oh, look at the shinny thingy on my desk. Ahhhhhhhh..........ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......
