Whats Up 8Clubbers,

I recently bought a Yellow 2004 rx8. Only Had it a month, and Im already looking at things I can do to customize this bad boy. Looking at rims, paint, lambo doors, removing the Badging, maybe some other things.

The Issue that Im coming across is the paint scheme. Ive done some looking online and I have yet to find anything other than black to go with the stock yellow paint. Its been done a million times over and personally I think Its kind of boring (especially since I live where there are ALOT of Steelers Fans LOL)... Im coming to you guys to see if you can help me find something creative to do with this Yellow paint.

My Ideas:
1. Leave the car yellow, get the paint touched up. Throw some Black rims on with yellow lips

2. Find a color other than black that would look nice as a 2 tone, or even an accent.

Colors I have considered:
Blueish
Red
White
Orange
Teal/ emerald green
Purple
Hell, I have even thought about Pink to be different lol

Throw some Ideas Out there, Id really Appreciate it =)

 

Titanium Gray would look pretty good as an accent.

And remember- not everyone will like your mods. It's your car, and as long as you like it, that should be all that matters

 

I agree with everything except the Lambo doors. Look tacky on most everything except.. well... a Lambo.

Since yellow is already a bright, "stand-out" color, I would go with a softer accent color. As RX8Soldier said, titanium grey might look pretty good. There are some really decent photoshoppers on this site so search them out and have them do a little photochop of your car with different accents.

Google image search yellow car. There are not a lot of options. Black and yellow can be good if you don't get carried away. Bumblebeerx8 is my fav just because of the ballerness of his show wheels.

 

LY is a rare color. Don't ruin your car with a cheap paintjob, "rims" that should be called wheels and omfg lambo doors please.
Spend that money on driving tuition and perhaps a full check up if you didn't do it before the purchase.

 

I changed my mind about the vertical doors lol... I'm looking for a nice set of "wheels" not trying to spend an arm and a leg.. I'm really digging the bronze :v)... I decided that if I do anything to the paint I'm going to just do some vinyl .. I torture it will give me the look I want and it wont be permanent.... Where would you suggest I have the car looked @? The dealership or a preformance shop?

 

reputable dealership if it's still under warranty, good performance shop otherwise since there's no warranty summon.
Volk, ray's engineering, wedssports and enkei have nice wheels in bronze.

 

Bronze wheels look really good on the yellow, lol but dam did my car look really ricey.
