For the ones of you who have taken delivery on your 8's, and might I say congrats!! I have been looking at some pics. of the interior with the gauges lit in red for nighttime driving. My question is since the buttons on the steering wheel are lit in red, do the buttons for the window switches/door locks and mirrors light up also?

There is a small light that shines on them. A little dim but works!

 

While driving the RX8 at night, are you forced to use the red lights or is it possible to use the white or brighter daytime lights? And can the brightness of the lights be controlled?

 

Yes you can either use red-blue with dimmer or switch to white
daytime style.

 

But the red looks cooler!

 

You can switch to the white daytime lights, but only at full intensity. The dimmer switch goes from dim red to bright red to (click) WHITE
