Yesturday i turned my car on and it was warming up and the oil light didnt go out when all the other ones did...then i started driving nd 2 seconds later i looked down it was gone..checked my oil its in the middle so its fine.

Today driving to school i redlined and it hesitated. Then a light started flashing. I was in manual mode...i put it into drive and kept driving and it went out.
It drove 100% fine after also.

did i shift it wrong?
it wasnt the steeringwheel it was an awkward light i can describe it.

Should i have anything to worry about?

EDIT: Maybe i shouldnt of redlined it without my car being 100% warm. It wasnt completly cold but it wasnt too warm yet.
Could this be it?

 

What you mean oil level is in the middle?

you need to check it 5 minutes after you turn it off, and the oil level should read close to full.

At what rpm the hesitation occured?

what year is your car and how many miles? i guess you have an auto transmission.

All rx8 come with revolution limiter at around 6000rpm when the car is not fully warm. (for this limiter to go away the temperature niddle needs to be close to the middle).

 

My oil is inbetween the 2 lines on the dipstick.
I looked it up in the manual and it says thats normal.
I was around 6k rs when that popped up..thats just a limiter? I should be fine right?

i was actually a little low on oil...must of burned up in the 3 days since i last checked my oil.

well anyway im perfect now..car oil light doesnt show up anymore.
