For those people who are forced to suffer with the front license plate mandated by many states (and Japan) has anyone considered fabricating a bracket that would fit the plate UNDER the grill area where the black valence is mounted? I would think the entire plate doesn't have to show edge to edge, and so long as it's legible, no one would complain. This might smooth out the look a bit.

Any thoughts here??

 

Somewhere there's a thread with photos of a front plate that the owner created special mounts for below the grille. Looked a lot better than having the plate stuck right in the middle of the "smile" of the grille.

Not exactly, the guy had it mounted in the center below the grille. Perhaps, though, he was either crazy or too conventional.

 

The side mounting isn't much of an improvement......

 

I had looked at putting there but I didn't want to interfere with the air flow too the rad .

 

I am still hoping to get more than 14mpg... I patiently wait

 

I just refuse to put a front license plate on. I waited 7 months before I put my back one on...LOL. The front one will just spoil the looks. I say just gamble with it, and dont put it on until I get a fix it ticket. LOL lates yall
