lemon law...anyone knowledgable want to help me?
i love my 8. however, ive had it in the shop waaaay too much over the past 18mths, oftentimes for the same problem. im not a litigious person, but i feel that this may qualify as a lemon. however, reading the law (found here ) it appears that this claim must be made in 12 mths or 18k miles. im currently at 18 and 21k. does anyone have any experience with this and know what all i need to do, and what they will do for me?

Go ahead and file a lemon law dispute. Mazda NA will have to respond and they will give the dealer a kick in the *** for you. Accoding to the link you posted you car covered as long as your expressed warranty ( 48 month 50,000 miles ) is in effect.
(E) "Nonconformity" means any defect or condition which substantially impairs the use, value, or safety of a motor vehicle and does not conform to the express warranty of the manufacturer or distributor.

I think the car has to be in the shop for more then 30 days, and they couldnt fixed the problem. Then you can get another one (if you brought it from a dealer) on new models.
did you buy it new, i am suprised the dealer didnt just give up and give you a new one already.

A friend of mine was successful at getting his Dodge Truck lemoned! He dedicated much of his attention to it and wrote letters to everyone he could think of just to pester the crap out of em and make sure that every day the people that needed to make the decision were aware of it. He would not let them rest until he was completely satisfied. He wrote not only the dealership but also Daimler Chrysler in Germany, Senators, Congressman, the Governor of Georgia and even the President of the United States. Not that any of them would actually give a crap but he always cc'd the dealer every time. They couldn't wait to get him out of their life.
If you are serious about proceeding, you must commit to it and DO NOT LET UP. Even when they tell you it will not go any further.
Pay attention to what abbid said and do not jeopardize your case.
Your comment "not a litigious person" would be a concern as you must be relentless.
Good Luck.

Speak to a lawyer that specializes in Lemon law cases, but it appears that you haven't met the statutory requirements of reporting the problem w/in the first 12 mos. or 18k miles of delivery date. Has the dealer fixed everything under warranty? If not you may have a breach of express or implied warranty case. In any case I am sorry to hear that you have had so many problems. What were they?
