Leaking liquid inside the Car

Hi Everyone,

I search for awhile and don't find anything about this problem. Wnder if someone can help.

There are clear liquid leaking inside my 2004 RX-8.

The liquid is leaking from the fan behind the glove box on the passenger side on to the carpet.

My friend help took the fan out and notice the liquid is not coming from top down, and the air filter nearby is dry. We have try splashing water on to the windsheild and the leak isn't from the outside.

I am having this problem when I turn on the AC for a period of time(roughly 20-30min)

If anyone have similar problem before, please let me know.

air conditioner drain line is probably disconnected or plugged.

sounds like a clogged drain, assuming the liquid is clear and odorless with the consistency of water

look at your ac blower box under glove box at floor board end there should be a small rubber hose in a 90 that comes down and out to the engine bay.with luck sometimes this can get kicked off and or like everyone said check to be sure that drain is not blocked up..good luck..

Same Probs

Howdies,

I am having the same problem as reported in here. Last weekend I changed manual and rear differential fluid from a dealer. Surprisingly after a heavy rain and switching on a/c for around 20-30 mins, I noticed a water leak from the cabin under the glove box. It did rain heavily before but I don't think I never noticed any leak. It didn't smell nor look colored and felt like water.

Can anyone suggest what this might be and what should be done. I drive a manual 08.
