Just realizing how horrible the RENESIS is..
Hate to tell you, Mike, but the new Camaro was named one of the Top Ten Gay Cars of 2010.

Not a Miata on the list.

Better sell it now before people start thinking the wrong thing about you...
Say "In American" one more time...one more time motherfu....AMERICA!! With an A at the end.
If you want more power from a rotary strap a turbo on it. Wasn't it the esmeril turbo kit that was boasting 450+ whp from a renesis? Holy crap. I'd take that over a camaro SS any day, and I love muscle cars.

Of course supporting mods like fuel pump, tune and what not...don't be an idiot. You said Drivetrain though.
No **** adding more power will shorten the life of it. It won't be as drastic as you're saying though. As long as the tune is great and you don't do anything stupid, the engine will last well over 50k more miles. EasyE1 *I think* turbo'd his car and was driving around for 50k miles. He only rebuild it because of something unrelated to the turbo. According to him and the one who rebuilt it, the engine had plenty of life in it.
Again, don't be an idiot.

ok well, where are the turbocharged rx8s at ? its way to much money to turbo any car. you wanna know how i got about 90WHP over stock out of my LS3 v8 ? i put a new cam and headers, CAI , exhaust. N/A 90WHP over stock. costing around 4k if you do it your self. tell me how much money it would take you get a rx8 to 450WHP ?

I'm not sure what you wanted me to say besides, "Wow, that car wasn't tuned to it's full potential, so adding a couple things to add HP works! You're so handsome, take me!"
Congrats, I think the people in 2004 knew these cars weren't going to gain much from aftermarket parts....But hey, keep aiming for those high HP numbers. I'm sure you'll be cool sooner or later.

So I think what r3 mike is saying is that he bought a completely terrible car where the factory didn't come close at all to figuring out how to get power out of the engine. They just put together a half-assed piece of equipment in two tons of metal and shoved it out there.
Unlike Mazda, where they pulled every spare scrap of power out of a 1.3l engine, setting, and holding, a world record for most power per liter n/a.
r3mike....1 last try to see if you get this point:
PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS AND PREFERENCES THAN YOU DO!
If everyone loved what you loved, then every single person in the world would be driving the Camera, would be sleeping with your girlfriend, including other women (since they would have to love her too, in fact your girlfriend would have to love herself more than you, so she wouldn't be with you)
everyone would wear the same color and styles of coloring, work the same job, live in the same house, in the same city....
I think I'm going to link this thread over on the Camaro forums, just to see if you have impressed any of them....

To have a completely fair argument, the Grand Am RX8s share almost nothing with a factory production RX8. The chassis is a tube chassis and it is running a 20B.

*EDIT* I thought you were leaving....? You flip flop so much on "This engine is terribad" to "They did make a great engine." Make up your damned mind.
aw that is unfortunate. You and monchie have many things in common and would have been excellent forum friends. Both of you have great intellectual abilities with posts that everyone can use and learn from. You two are the most productive members on the site. You will be missed
