http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...Item#mainimage

Less that 2k miles and a 2007?!?!?!

Warranty, Clear title......

When I clicked, I couldn't believe it.......

Thoughts?

EDIT---I realize it's not a Shinka now, the seats threw me off. Assumptions will be the death of me

I still thought it was a hell-of-a deal though!

Yeah, think about it...

$32,000-ish new, and with less than 2k miles (basically brand new) it's lost around 25% of its value?

Seems a bit low for a new 8, but not unreasonable.

it's hard to offload an auto. most rx8 buyers know to get the manual. most rx8's are manual.

Maybe I'm just averaging out what I've seen on ebay for the past year or so (I've been in the market for an 8, so I've been on ebay/here almost every day)

Usually, a car with those specifications is anywhere from 26k-29k at least (from what I've seen)

I guess it wasn't that crazy, but to me, that seemed like an unbelievable deal...

If you don't mind auto, go for it. bid low and see what happens, or email the seller with a private bid.

Considering some dealers were selling Shinkas for 6-8k under MSRP the price isn't anything out of the ordinary. In 2007 (and any other year for that matter) Shinka is just another options package.

This is an odd bird indeed...although it seems a little suspect.

First off, there weren't any shinka models made in 2007 so if it is a shinka it's an 05 or 06.

Second, the center console area in a shinka should be piano black accents not the silver metallic accents.

Third, no factory installed satellite radio.

Fourth, center console glove box should be matching sand color leather not black.

Fifth, no shinka emblem, of course this can be removed but why?

Sixth, the rims are stock

The only thing that I see that was done to it was they changed out all four seats and the door panels to the sand leather color and the brake calipers were painted silver which is consistant with the shinka package.

The dealership does not even state in fact it is a shinka they are selling.

It looks to me they are selling a USED 07 AT RX8 GT w/ Alcantara leather seats (see edit) @ $25,000.

Seems overpriced IMO since I've seen some AT/MT 07 RX8's w/ nearly 0 miles on it around this forum for less than that. I'll see if I can find the thread.

-AJ

Edit: The wife noticed these seats aren't even the Alcantara leather, they are just sand colored, and Mazda does not offer this type of leather as an option so it didn't come out of the factory like this. It has been reupholstered somewhere else.

Forgot about that, was thinking for a second they carried the option package over to '07...

Regardless of year it's not that great of a deal.

You are right , this is not a shinka, there is no mazdaspeed spoiler in the back or all around. All this is, an 07 automatic GT may be!!!

Ike- I was typing this out while doing other things. When I hit submit you had posted between the time that had written it and submitted it. I wasn't responding to your post it was just a coincidence.

It says>> You are bidding on an immaculate 2007 Mazda RX-8 Grand Touring automatic with only 1322 miles!

Does not say SHINKA

AJ, whats the difference between the SHINKA wheels and the others?

A shine to it?
I traded my SHINKA wheels to XRider for his AXIS Hiros
Anyone in Dallas who wants SHINKAs wheels can probably check with him and trade Plus a few dollars.

Seems the RX-8 does not hold its value.

The person who bought mine before I bought i
He:
Bought it in April 2007 for $27K
Sold it 4 months later (August 07) for $17K

Talk about losing value.
Guess since not many were sold, there is not much demand for them. Mazda still charged/posted a high MSRP
That's why some dealers were discounting it.

Not a Shinka... Sand leather available in 07...
Even if it is. $24k isn't an amazing deal to say the least. That's not much less then new '06's were going for this time last year, and a USED car is a big difference from a new one.
As posted the RX8 drops value like a tank dropped from a plane without a parachute.
Yes, more RX8's are manula then automatic, at least last I knew it was nearly 80% stick.

They are a darker silver w/gloss than the stock rims. Very slight difference, It took me a while to see it but now that I look at stock rims they look bright grey to me.

You definitely made a good trade off with the AXIS Hiros they look good and are lighter than the stock rims.
