Yea I have been but this was at a friends house and some dumb lady did it. I didn't notice until this morning though cause it was dark. Somebody also put hand prints on the hood the day I got it washed. I don't understand why people have to be a dick about nice cars, I saved up the money and earned it mostly from serving in the Army but some ******* kid thinks it'd be funny to **** with the nice new car.

Very angry right now.

Don't think you need to do too many miles before "unleashing" it . See the Racing Beat recommended break in proceedure ....

I don't blame you mate, this is one of my worse fears in owning ANY great car, others do not give a crap about what they do to someone else's property.

My advice like many here, I just won't take my car where I think there might be issues...like this...and it can be a pain...

Just remember even though the RX-8 is a heavy car, its weight is not in the outer door skins as they are very thin, your rear doors and Hood are aluminum so I do not know how the "Ding Doctor" would go, others can tell you who have used them.

I want to get a sticker that says "I'm a Soldier and saved up for 5 years to buy this car." Maybe people would be less inclined to **** with it then.

Why does it matter that you are a soldier? Any other career can be equally commendable. Also, saving up 5 years for it would only make it that much sweeter for someone who decides to **** with it.

Also, people might want to **** with it because it has an automatic transmission. not me of course, no no, but others...maybe....

Because I live in a college town and people probably assume that daddy paid for the car so they have no qualms about ******* with it.

Well done infantryman! At your age I was enamored with the Datsun 280Z, and that ended up being my first car, a 1978 that I got in 1986. When the RX-7 came out, I loved it right off the bat, especially when my parents' next door neighbor bought a brand new one in 1983 (burgundy). Anyways, I followed the RX all those years and finally got my 2008 last summer (Red). I KNOW you are really going to love this car. The RX is a REAL sports car. It is LIGHT. No, it doesn't have the insane horsepower, but the feel of the car is just superb. You'll have to post your thoughts as you get out of break in and start revving it up to 8000 rpm! cheers.

Hey congrats on the purchase! The colour hides that stupid black moustache and it actually blends in for once...

Congrats and enjoy
