A couple of Questions

I live in pakistan so two issues, in summers it gets very hot and there is no rx8 dealership here. Now the questions:

1. The Airconditioner of my rx sucks big time. as soon as temperature goes over 30c it gets hot as hell inside the car. Do i have a problem with my ac or the rx8's have bad ac's. What is the solution.

2. As no dealership here, I just wanna ask what maintenance do you guys carryout in your country. I mean, does the rx8 needs tunning like the cars in 90s or the ecu takes care of that.

Thanks

1. there is an AC reset that might give you better performance. check DIY. i've heard 10 degrees cooler.

2. add oil every couple of gas fill ups. maybe put a little premix in the tank too. the ecu takes care of a lot, but from what i've read, it runs the fuel too rich and the oil too lean. with a cobb accessport, you can change those settings to get better performance, longevity and mpg.

good luck.

I don't have a link for you, but there's a sticky in the DIY section with a good index of articles and links. While you're there look for the AC fix that involves insulating the suction side refrigerant line. That would help with the somewhat wimpy capacity of the AC system.

I would suggest you to look at the Cobb Accessport tuning. If you do not want though to spend about 600$ to get it, there are other kits in the market that can help you with cooling better your engine and have better A/C. I have installed mazsport cooling fan kit and the car works better. Further, I get cooler A/C. As far as maintenance I do the regular...Check also frequently the oil level and anticoolant! Rotary needs oil and coolant so do not let these to reach low level!
