The best price depends on where you live...
I just bought an 04' Ti Gray on Friday..
GT - Spoiler and 13K miles. Absolutely mint... Not a scratch on her. :D They wanted 26 got it down to 22K pre tax but That's pretty good for this area since the Invoice on a 05 right now of the same trim level is 30500. Although it is a 6 speed which is more $$ then an crap0matic... LOL... Sorry just can't see buying a car like this in Auto... just doesn't make sense... They still had an 04 auto that had never been sold on the lot... l0l...

Anyway, no real problems so far. Sluggish to start a couple times. I've ony had it a few days though... Good luck. G.

Congrats on your car, enjoy. Don't do the Eclipse thing, you WILL regret it. Great power, but the thing is a boat. LOADS of understeer. Driving it is like turning the Titanic, lots of ship, little rudder.

Glad to here you got the Car, besides letting the car warm up for about 10 min....or acheving operating temp, the outher best way to stear clear of flooding is this, before shutting down rev the motor past 4k, once the rev's are up turn key to off...this alows the moter to burn off any accsess fuel in the chambers.

No, it hasn't been upgraded... I'll mention it to them. It's started every time so far though. Just sounds sluggish... I'll mention it to them... Thanks... G.

Your friend is ignorant of rotaries. The 1993-1995 Rx-7 was known to pop at low mileage. This was partly due to poor maintainance by the owners, bad driving habits, and a number of Mazda design flaws--oh and the twin sequential turbochargers that the Rx-8 does NOT have. Besides, rotaries have been redesigned since then--they moved the exhaust ports to a different part of the engine, which reduces wear on the seals.

Nonturbo rotaries can easily go 150-200k miles if you're good to them.

Almost flooded her today!!! Stupid me after a Very quick trip to Wawa and back Not even enough time for the seats to warm up let alone the engine, I forgot to rev before I shut her off! I just left it alone and after work about 1.5 hrs later, it stuggled a lot to turn over but finnaly did! Wow that's a little imbarising to have a sweet hot car like that and it barely starts!!! I'm going to have to talk to them about the new starter...

I wouldn't trade it for a eclipse they don't handle as well, or look as good.

Now that you've driven the RX-8, no way you'd be happy in the Eclipse.

Similarly, anyone who recommends the Eclipse doesn't understand what the RX-8 is all about. A little thing called HANDLING.

doesnt the rotaries improve hp and mileage after 40k? i think i read that here or somewhere else. with the increased hp the 0-60 improves too for .2 secs or so. welcome to the forum. i own an auto too (not because personal preferences but i coulnt let go a sweet deal) but overall i am very, in fact more than happy with it. rev it rev it. read a lot you will need it becasuse rotaries are not like piston engines and they need a bit extra attention. trust yourself you made a good purchase with the 8 and be prepared to get a lot of attention because girls like sexy sporty looking cars and the 8 is one of them. good luck
