My wife had a early build 05 black loaded, engine replaced at 60,00. Maxda took good care of her on that one . 91000 on it coils go out, they thought it was another engine.
about 42 days left on her ext. warranty. Paid the 100. for deduc. to have coils replaced .
We looked at a Jeep Liberty and she bought it, we have a grand son coming in July.
Just a qurikie CAR , Mazda was good to her .
I'll keep looking in from time to time

Coils should be replaced every 30000 miles.

My coils was toasted at 16k miles so I say it can vary
