Here you go, it's only about $1,100.00 before shipping. I hope being a JDM ***** is worth it to you.

There is some very high quality stuff to be had in japan but unfortunately the cost just makes it unreasonable to buy for most. Chances are getting a full header, midpipe, catback, and intake from RE amemiya shipped to you would cost more than your RX-8 is worth.

$3,000 will get you one of the following:
- BHR Ignition, REmedy water pump thermostat and oil pressure pellet, BHR midpipe, and your choice of $1,500 wheels or an acceptable set of coilovers
- Acceptable coilover suspension, sway bars, BHR midpipe and ignition, and stickier tires
- Most of an engine rebuild
- OEM ignition replacement, new tires, and about 6,000 miles worth of gas.
- About 12,000 miles of gas.
Maybe you should read my new owner's thread if you haven't yet. Bolt ons don't do jack crap to this car. Just worry about getting it running right and maintained well.
You will gain FAR FAR FAR more respect on the boards for having a stock RX-8 that is really well taken care of and not wrecked than you ever will for any JDM mod.

$3,000 will get you about 3 days at a Mazda Driving school given by Skip Barber (http://www.skipbarber.com/mazdadriving.asp), for driving education that will never fade, never wear out, never needs replacement, will transfer from car to car, and has a lifetime warranty.

Quality coilover sets like mine already cost almost the same as your 3K "left overs"
so yeah, your 3K is "nothing"
As much as I like JDM stuff, some thing just not worth it. Well, if our US dollars don't "suck" as much as it is then yea its not a bad idea. but for now, no thx.

Do like the honda guys and put a lame *** JDM sticker all over the windows. In all seriousness, don't bother looking at the "JDM" items. Way to overpriced, and as stated before, the $3,000 budget won't get you very far if you are going "JDM"

Simple answer to a stupid question, the car comes STOCK WITH A JDM COLD AIR INTAKE.
Open your hood and look for the black piece of plastic next to the hood latch. Remove the 6 plastic rivets using a flat head screw driver. Under there you will find a hose. That hose is part of your VFAD system. Which is also a cold air intake. Spend your money on something more usefull than replacing a cold air intake with an aftermarket hot air intake.
