This is crazy. How could you blow the engine under no significant load? Is it really an accepted fact that your engine is gone, or are you just freaking out over the possibility? Have you done a compression or other confirmatory test?

Hey Taj, I've watched a turbocharger and a supercharger install on youtube and before they did anything they checked inside the Turbo/Supercharger manifold to check for any foreign debris..

Now I must go back to the shadows and lurk!

so go borrow a camera (or use your cell phone) from a friend, go to the shop, take pics, and go back home and upload them.

Yikes, and I was whining and complaining, thinking I had a rough time getting my turbo setup. While it did take a long time because work was off and on and also I didn't know a damn thing about cars when I started, all in all I have to call it a smooth job when compared to this story. Sorry for your troubles.

Just fyi, I am just about done installing the Esmeril Turbo kit on my car. Even ran the car for a bit. Ran into a last minute hitch where I had some oil leaking and then a custom fitting sheared in half when I tried to tighten it, so I gotta wait for the replacement part now, but at least I know the car was functioning. No big deal I guess, just a delay.

Here are a few pics I took when the install was mostly done, pretty much just the air filter needed to be slipped on.

I'll take some final pics once everything is squared away and running (and I clean it up a little)

Taj, did you forget to add oil before you started up your car for the first time? If I'm not mistaken, you change your oil sometime thru the turbo install process, right?

Eh just a shot in the dark, I know this is off topic but...

Is anyone reading this knowledgable about installing guages? I need help with the wiring for the lighting of my boost gauge. I'm quite the noob at electrical, so the level of help i need is along the lines of "You can splice into the red wire with yellow stripe at this location..." etc.

I made a thread elsewhere and even sent out a couple of PM's but still no go :'(
Just send me a PM if you're willing to help, thanks!
