You have a good eye for what lurks in the shadows.

if i could, i'd build a motor with direct injection BETWEEN the spark plugs, firing horizontally directly at the rotor face. then develope 20 to 1 compression rotors and make it a turbo diesel.. pipe dream... for now.

The OP asked for thoughts and suggestions, people informed him of the 16X setup and the difficulty of implimenting such a solution. You decided your britches was full of much better knowledge and decided to be a pain in the butt about it. I am pokeing holes in your grand theory, if you already know what im typing, then so be it. Your right einstein, mazdas have more than one set of injectors; I never said that wasnt a probable or possible solution: I don't know. I am telling you that one injector set wont be able to work with your precived notion of injections a few degrees before ignition; and more than one person concurred. My knowledge is based off from engine rebuilds and a general understanding of rotary flow and flame front. You have yet to provide any sort of information here other than how much smarter you are and trying to contradict anything I say. I do not have the reasources to build any sort of experiemnt, just the knowledge to know what generally would and would not work for different reasons. That is why I talk about it on a "stupid" forum and thusfar I have put forth more understaning of rotary DI than you have. So I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish here other than proving that you are a pain.

well you see... i'm not trying to be a pain. I was expanding on DI and
rotary engines (current or future designs0
You have yet to provide any sort of information here
what kinda information are you looking for, test results of an engine design that is a decade away? or my credentials as far as how much knowledge i have on the subject. well.. my knowledge is far exceeding that of the average(rotary or the like) engine builder. And my knowledge about direct injection is from classes i took(from denso) on the subject, and diagnosing those systems.. as that is what i do every day, or more like when work requires it. i also took MM tuning seminar...if that's more creditable then denso...(this is the rx-8 forum after all)
