I'm a new RX8 owner! ...AGAIN!

Yes! If you didnt see my other thread, my 2004 titanium grey was damaged while servicing at the dealer... we managed to arrive at an equiatable solution to get me in a:

2005 Nordic Green!!!!!! (11 mi on the odometer)

A couple questions... and I'll dig around here over the weekend... but if anyone tell me or point me to:

1. Is there a way to determine the port date from the VIN? (I found it out for my grey but cant remember how? DOH!)

2. How do I tell what flash rev is in it????

THANKS!!!!!

Yeah I'm glad it worked out! Theres still not another car (in the price range) that even comes close for me!!!!!!

If its on the dealer lot it 'should' have the latest flash and the heat recall done. You can check the build date (month and year) on the sticker inside the door.

If you ask the dealer im sure they can run a VIN history that whould show you all the info you would want to know.

Good deal.
Congrats

Happy Motoring.

yeah build date looks like 05/05...

I also checked under the hood, and didnt see any campaign labels... I'll have the dealer run the VIN 4-sure!

Thanks man!

I'm a Nordic Green fan here. GREAT choice! They're gorgeous and more unique than many of the rest of ours. Congrats to you!

yeah... I have a feeling this one is gonna show more dirt etc than the titanium grey one I had... but I really do like how the NG looks dramatically different in different light... almost black in low ambient... but when the light hits the green metallic really comes to life!!!

Great choice. Green really struck me at the dealership too. I fell in love with the color and bought one. I get so many compliments on it. Get some dark wheels, they lookd great with the green. I have bronze. Gunmetal looks great too! See pics below if you want to see how the wheels look.

Of course, if the dealer had the attention to detail to do the flash upgrade, they probably wouldn't have damaged the car in the first place.

I took some "nominal hits," but suffice it to say, in the end, the dealer was very gracious... and I didnt even have to launch www.thedealerwrckedmycar.com... LOL!

Good gracious man, lower that thing!! I guess I'm just use to the look of mine with the eibach springs. funny how much different mine looks next to one with the stock setup. But it does look good my friend. Simply amazed at how you pulled that off.
