Finally, after reading tons of posts here and dealing with plenty of sleazy salesman and being stubborn about the price I would pay, I got my car. Well, I got a sales agreement complete with a non-refundable deposit anyway. My car has a Jan. 16 build date, so it will be a couple months. At almost 6'2 my head is hitting the ceiling in any RX-8 with a sunroof unless I put the seat all the way down. So I got my black w/Sport , a rare breed it seems. They aren't willing to make as good deals on those since they are mostly stocked with loaded cars, but I still got it below what I was willing to pay. Loaded cars on the lot are going for 200-300 below invoice here in the SF Bay Area.

I can't wait!!!!!

Oh, and despite my username, I'm not getting rid of my '99 Saturn. It's my practical get-to-work car, and - don't laugh please - I actually like it!

P.S., am I the only sucker in the Bay Area who paid a $150 San Jose/OAK/SF fee (supposedly assessed on all Mazdas here)? I tried to argue on it, but they wouldn't waiver, and they weren't the only dealership I dealt with pulling that out of their &%#. Since I'm so picky about the exact color/options I want, I gave in.
