I'm in the club!
About 6 weeks ago I joined the RX-8 club- I got a great deal on a 04 Lightning Yellow 6 speed- Super Touring- last one on the lot, and the last day of the month - I even got a great price on my trade-in.
I have been reading the posts here, and love the information- it helped with my decision - and answered alot of questions.
No more lurking- I hope to become an active participant...ya know if I have time- I spend most of my free time DRIVING! I already have 2900 miles- going in for first oil change on Friday - any quick tips on what I should make sure the dealership takes care of?

Welcome! Be sure the tech knows that the 8 only holds 3.7 quarts of oil. I've read a couple of posts on here where people were complaining that the dealership over-filled their 8 with oil. Just an fyi. Have fun in your 8! They are awesome cars!!!

Yes, please check the dipstick before you leave the dealer. I took mine in for the first oil change and it was WAY overfilled. Now I change it myself which i'd recommend you do if you can.
Related question:
Do you have to bring your 8 in at a specific interval to make sure the warranty stays in tact?

Congrats! If you haven't already stumbled upon this thread, I'd suggest checking it out. Tommy has done us all a great service!:D If you're interested in making any modifications, there's this thread. This is a good one to check, even if you are a bit apprehensive about doing mods, you might be surprised at how easy some are.
And now that you're no longer in "lurk" mode, don't hesitate to ask questions, but also please try the search function, you will find that many times the answer to most questions can be found with a search; mainly because we've all asked a lot of questions along the way.:D
And lastly: Welcome to the club! D
