hey all just purchased a 2009 RX8 GT and it has the smart key feature but is missing the little plastic **** that goes in the ignition does anyone have a part number for this? thanks

 

Just call your local Mazda dealership.

 

That is too hard and the Service people won't have a clue what he is talking about.
In fact they are too stupid to to go walk out to his car and look at it when he goes to the dealer.

Almost all parts now a days are special order, which means you have to show up at the dealership and pay in full or put cash down.

Part number will not help in this case.

And Yes the Service advisors are smart enough along with the parts counter to order the correct part.

 

You could always try. Not all dealerships are the same...some are good, some are bad, and some are just an ***, if you know what i mean.

 

I seem to remember a thread where Ash8 would look up part numbers for you. I can't find it at this moment.
This may be it too. There isn't an illustration so I'm not sure.
