Okay, I'm probably gonna get kicked for this one, but oh well. NFS:MW had a paint scheme I liked - where under most lighting the car looked dark dark dark red (very nearly black), but absolutely direct lighting produced a brilliant metallic dark red. I'd like to do that, except in silver.

I'd go with the Mazdaspeed Ver. II Strato Blue Mica that they got in japan! gorgeous! but since we didn't get that I'd have to say black is the sexiest! followed closely by the white...

Hmmm....

If I had to repaint my car (and my current VR wasn't an option), I think i'd either go w/the burnt orange as seen on the 350 or the new Copper Red which i've seen in person (it looks MUCH better than the pictures show).

New Paint Job Price??

How much would it cost to get a decent full body paint job?? And where would you recommend getting it done? (i.e. Maaco, or independent body shops, etc.)

Honestly i would stick with the factory paint job, its hard to get an equal quality paint job without dropping a small fortune.

Of the stock colors, the shinka black cherry is, of course, the best.

But if one is repainting and the field is wide open, then, clearly what is required is to paint the car exactly like the old Partridge Family bus.

Well, maybe not...

I purchased the Shinka specifically for the Black Cherry, which IMO, is the best color on the 8. However, if I had to repaint the car....I would choose the Cashmere C/C Tri-coat used by Lincoln. My dad has a '05 Navigator in that color and it is amazing to see in person. You cannot tell how nice it is in a photo, so I'm not going to post one.
