In the News/Media section there's a discussion about the C&D longterm test article of our beloved 8.

Amazingly no one picked up on the fact that C&D is reporting that their 8's performance got better after 40k miles. Not just better....SIGNIFICANTLY better.

0-60 went from 6.6 seconds to 5.9 seconds.
1/4 went from 15.1 @ 93mph to 14.6 @ 96mph.

Hmmm...seems to be the same as the fabled R&T numbers eh?

I do not understand how perfromance numbers of a car can get better with age? Does this mean when I reach 40,000 miles my car will become faster?

 

Would like a cookie or something? Note how I even pointed out which forum you can find the thread about the C&D article. If you read a little, you can imply (atleast I hope you can) that I read through that particular thread and was commenting on how no one commented on the performance difference from when the car was new to its current state at 40k miles.

I felt that that item was interesting to the group, since, presumably, people here would be interested about their cars and that it deserved greater publicity. But thanks for your witty response. You're original!
