If you have a spare key, why do you need the remote?

All I have is the actual key part no the transmitter. If I put the key in and open the door the alarm will go off and I can't start the car.

you should be able to unlock the door and start the car with the spare. Lock the door with the spare first, then unlock it with the spare, and you should be able to start the car.

I'm gonna buy 2 blank keys with remotes off of eBay! So all I have to do is get the car to the service center and they can program them right????

If you have one key (dont need remote) then yes they can program keys for you. However once you have 2 keys you can program the third one yourself if the dealer is charging you a crap load. You can also program the remotes yourself.

You can program the remote yourself, but if your getting a new metal key then no, the dealer has to program the chip inside of the metal to allow you to start the car with the new key.
