I have noticed that the rx8 owners who drive the car like they stole it seem to not have as many major engine problems. And the people who drive like my Gma end up with engine problems, then soon the follow a new engine This car is like a hot girlfriend....you get the point. My semi-knowledge for the rx8 goes like this.... Always ALWAYS Check the Oil, only premium fuel, maybe a carbon cleaner a few times a year, keep up with coils, pluigs, wires, etc and drive the car somewhat hard. Not saying to redline through every gear, just don't be a sally with this car. I could be way off but it seems to me that this is the best way to take care of this engine. My car seems to run like a top I hope it stays like that. I really enjoy driving this car. Grip it and rip it...

i just put my dash lights on the reduced brightness red setting. I love red lining it and seeing the tip of the tach needle turn to blue. thats frickin awesome. my tach is bleeding rotary
