Loss of Interior power ?!

My driver side visor got messed up do to the heat combined with some shitty craftsmenship by Mazda. So I had to take my visor down. When I took it down, I had to disconnect the wires for the vanity light. I didn't want to just cut the wires, so I decided to try and stick them to ceiling, out of the way of my view. When I did this, I accidently touched one of the screws with the open metal connector. It made a small spark and I didn't think anything about it. Well I turned on my car and thats when I noticed... no radio, no display on the radio, no interior lights, no power to my locks, the key fob doesn't work and to top it off my damn trip keeps resetting everytime I shut down the car. Can anyone explain to me what the hell I did and maybe how much this is gonna dent my pocket? PLEASE HELP!

You blew a fuse... no big deal.
I'll check the manual to see which ones to check... or you could just check them all

OK... looks like (based on what you told be was out) its probably the 15A room fuse.
Check the fuse panel and see if its blown (or just check them all).
There should be spare fuses to use in there.

It's the last fuse behind the driver's kick panel (besides the spare) if I recall. I did the same thing a couple of months ago.

I just re-read your post (I have ADD moments) and saw that you mention your key fob...
If your power windows also do not work, then it could be the 30A BTN fuse which is in the fuse panel in the engine compartment.
Basically... save yourself time and just check them all...

Believe it or not, both of those damn fuses were blown. Thanks for the help. Everything is working fine now.
