I hate pick ups

Reason: because EVERY guy in a big truck feels the need to race me.

Everytime I'm at a light and a truck pulls up he's gotta act all big and rev his engine and then gun it when it turns green

Funny story to go along with this rant: Lat week, after painting my calipers(pics in soon) :D I took my 8 for a cruise around town to kinda show off

Anyways, this guy pulls up next to me at a light. Next thing I know, he revs and looks over at me and gives me this look. He guns it as the light turns.then I decide to play around with him. I catch up and pass him before he even crosses the intersection. then I stop at the next red light and he pulls up next to me. I look over, smiling. The guy glances over then pretends to not see me. He just starts rubbing his forehead and looking at the steering wheel until the light changes and I drive off at a normal speed. The guy waits a second and then drives normally. then he turns at the next light(another red). As he came up to the turn I saw him in my side mirror, so I just look over and I wait til he passes and I stare and smile at him. :D

I just talked about this in another thread. All the guys in the Dodge pick-ups and SUV9Durangos) want to race me...not the ford or chevy guys, just the Dodge ones. I think that "Its got a Hemi" marketing ads have gone to their heads.

I hate them because they kick up rocks on the road and they block visibility

Aye, nothing worse then trying to pull out of a parking lot and having a huge honking pickup or suv next to you blocking your entire view of on comming cars.

The other day on the expressway, a pickup loaded with junk in the bed lost some cargo as it went over an expansion joint. Nailed some poor guy in back driving a SUV. Poetic justice?

Challenge them to a braking contest. Now that would be fun.

Yeah, what the hell is up with that anyway? And I agree: usually Mopars.

Isn't it bad enough that mostly what I see through the windshield ahead of me are differential drain plugs? (and Rams head logos in the rearview mirror)

Damn, there sure are a lot of trucks and SUVs here.

Yeah, but those missing horses = 2 seconds less 0-60. Unless you're pulling a trailer with your AT, I don't think you'll notice the extra torque

Oh yeah, here's a thread for ya: :D

Its a good thing I don't care about straightline performance. Or else I'd be regretting my decision to got with the A/T

Yup, you don't care about straightline performance at all.

^^ haha

It seems to be a little known fact that "straight line performance", more commonly referred to as "power" by most car enthusiasts, is useful in many situations which don't occur between red lights.

Yep like 40-80mph merging/passing/etc. and the AT 8 does just fine. 0-60 is almost worthless as a real world practical evaluation of performance for me, as the only time I would really use it is from a stoplight and 95% of the time there is either traffic or the speed limit is 45mph or less. It's just a good benchmark for magazine racing and general acceleration performance.

True. There is something missing from my day when I don't get to drive the ramps like they should be driven.

no, i don't. That was an isolated incident. It's not like I do it every day like you must do.

Either way, stop trolling my thread.
