pop out windows or rear A/C

Personaly, I think rear A/C vents would make a huge differenc. Although it doesn't seem to be any price jump for pop out rear windows. I don't see them making any difference for a vehicle with A/C and especially not if it has rear vents like you see in mini vans.

Pop-out vents would add very little weight, next to nothing in cost, and I'd welcome the added versatility, although I'd probably never use them. I hope they don't ruin the clean lines of the car when they are popped out.
Some people view the pop-outs as being cheap though, and only used on minivans and economy cars (like my brothers Escort).

Look at the photos of the red car from SevenStock, and the little black circle is more than evident.

I don't mind the pop out windows, as they make for nice airflow, but they MUST be able to be controlled from up front. Nothing like having someone open a vent, leave your car, and you having to climb out, go to the otherside, open the door, snap shut the window, and come back. If that's the way they will be, forget that garbage. It wouldn't even be worth it. But if they do it like with minivans, where you can open them with a switch from up front, then yes, that would be a nice addition, and worth a few extra bucks to pay for it.

Or just trying to open/close the darn things from the driver's seat. If they are manual, there might be a chance we could transplant some "mechanicals" from a minivan setup, and make them powered. Then add one touch controllers to all the windows, hook it to the alarm...

If you look at the pics from this thread:

http://rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=900

...you could see a little round "button" on the rear window, which is a dead giveaway that they'll have flip-out windows.

I included the 2 relevant pics here:

Oops, sorry for posting what was already stated (didn't read the previous threads with regard to the "circle" on the silver car.) :o

One thing I did notice in these new pics, the body colored dash-pod isn't there. Maybe my eyes are fooling me, but it looks like the dash is all black.

I think you're right. I saw those pics a few days ago and noticed that immediately, which is why I started this thread: http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=861

For those at SevenStock, please tell us if the interior was all black or not. We all know now that the RX-8 was unofficially officially there!

It's a test mule, I wouldn't go by that.

Yep. Check out the thread about that in "Discussion", we have "technical highlights"

great pics of the red rx-8. I hope the windows do roll down, and i hope for a sunroof too, i wouldnt leave the license plate in that location, it just sucks. I dont think the windows would be able to roll down because of the shape, it looks tapered at the bottem, and with such small windows its gonna be pretty useless anyway.

Popouts are much more practicle than the windows that slide down, as it sits if the car has two doors two windows should move no more.
