You might want to look into a midpipe if the heat really bothers you. My 8 would get pretty hot especially when idling for a while, it had the classic "cup heaters" going on for sure lol. With a midpipe thank god it doesn't get that hot anymore, especially here in Miami, so if you're over there in Pakistan I bet it's hot as hell too.

Let the mechanics do the test, the minimum specs are in the workshop manual.

I'd use 10w40 oils and change the oil pressure regulator to say the least, given your climate.

Anything that isn't mobil 1 will do in your case. If you have valvoline, castrol, shell or similar oils go for them.

My car is not stock but that doesn't matter.
I use Valvoline, Royal Purple, Redline or Fuchs\Silkolene oils depending on the current deals available.

All the information you're looking for is available here, just search a little!

when the car is cold, does it start up quicker than it does when its hot?

for example you leave the car sitting overnight and start it in the morning and it starts up fast

and then you drive it around and turn it off, 5-10 minutes later is it having a hard time starting back up again or is it fast like when its cold?

i had the compression test done when i bought he car. i have driven it under 2000kms till now . 1st i was facing the " too much heating of floor and the console from gear **** till hand rest section ) problem , then i was told here that may b my cat conv is clanked /choked, so i checked that and it was choked really bad and was fully blocked from inside) i had the cat cov removed as we dont have emmision restrictions in our country and made a hole in the pipe and the sensor is fitted there so that i dont get check engine light. till then i didnt drive the car on high speed or long drive. i have noted this problem even b4 taking off the cat conv but i thought removing it will sove both problems i.e. powerloss and heat problem.

thats fine..

our engines have higher compression when its cold. If your car starts struggling to start when its hot then you probably have a compression problem.

what you are describing is normal. Every rx8 gets hot around the shifter area. The transmission is right there and it gets very hot. also the car experiences terrible heat soak issues.

some people who were bothered by it stuffed additional insulation under the plastic panels in an attempt to keep the heat out of the cabin.

EDIT: just saw your post, yeah a blocked cat will definitely increase heat in the cabin. glad you caught it, hopefully not too late. I would replace your coils plugs and wires ASAP

if you dont have a cat anymore, dont be alarmed when you get a CEL... It will happen eventually. Just get it read somehow and make sure it is the p0420 catalyst code. It will throw a code for not having a cat.

its no big deal.

it looses compression as it heats up.

I never looked into WHY, but if i were to make a guess, the metal expands when it gets hot and the seals lose contact with the expanding housing. When it cools, the metal contracts and the compression with the seals and housings get tighter.

buuut i could just be talking out of my *** there, just my guess.

You are correct Eric. The housings expand more than the rotors do as they heat up, increasing the gap between the seal tips and the housings.
