Its a sport I think. I didnt want anything higher because most I saw had leather seats and I wasnt about to pay for either new seats or make the car look cheap with seat covers. I live in vegas and it gets really hot here so leather is a no no.

Ya. I might spring to get a CD changer installed and potentially, at some point, get a sunroof. I'm a tall guy and I could use the extra space a sunroof would bring, but it's extensive.

At any rate, Sport kicks ***! No traction or stability control FTW! That **** just interferes.

The paddles in my eight work the same as like, say, Audi's tiptronic, right? It's a torque converter with some novelty paddles?

Anyone know how to speed up the delay between pressing them and the gear actually changing? Various companies make tuners that do it for Audi's system. Anything out there for RX8 owners?

yeah sunroofs take away headroom not add to it and plus idk if any shops would be able to add the sunroof without damaging anything, if you look closely at your roof line its curved so if you wash the car you notice it more b/c the water puddles in the middle, so they may ruin the aero tryna add a sunroof, but i came across some 09's for 20 and they had a sunroof, and fog lights is it too late to take your back

Are any of these eights, that you guys have found cheaper than mine, from dealerships?

And that helps. I figured I could order a genuine Mazda sunroof unit or rip it out a wrecked one, but if it wont help then **** it. I don't need one. Just wanted the headroom being 6'3".

yeah they are all at dealerships.......i am in the market for another 8 so i am looking at all the ones in the area

but the sunroof really wouldn't add any additional headroom, the one without the sunroof like your may have a hair more headrooom than one with a sunroof, on mine my head would brush against the headliner

Damn. Now I'm starting to get some buyer's remorse. Could have gotten a loaded '08 VW GTi for only 18K. 3K less than the base AT Sport I got for 21K.

Any word on helping the paddles' ten second delay?

GTI is a different car tho. if yo like it go for it. I know when I bought my car, all I wanted was a RWD. bored with FWD cars.

I do prefer how the RX8 drives, and it obviously looks tenfold better than the econo-based GTi. And, oddly enough, it seems more people are oblivious to the existence of the RX8, as people actually ask what it is. Haha.

Meh. I guess it's the difference between sporty and sports, right? I do really enjoy it. Want more power though. Found my old T/A actually had 285 lb-ft of torque! WTF!

Shouldn't of bought an A/T. Did u take ur time finding the car? Seems like u could've gotten a better deal.

I'd prefer a M/T, but I really don't care. It may rev higher and have a bit more power, but from what I read everywhere, it isn't drastically noticeable, and being a student, I don't need to be constantly shifting when I'm scooting around town at mind boggingly slow speeds.

I bought it from a dealer, and neither CarMax or AutoTrader can find one with such low miles for nearly the same price within 300 miles. And before you say I should have bought it privately, I'll tell you that no bank loan for a used car would come with 3% APR without a dealer.
