Anyone removed them and weighed them?

 

Not a hell of a lot...they are just foam with the skins...maybe 15-20 lbs max for all the seats and belts. The car gets really loud as well as it is the major sound suppression for the exhaust noise

 

Youre going to have to take off more than that if your trying to save weight. I drag raced without my entire stereo, rear seats removed, etc. Then next weekend I drag raced with everything in it and there wasnt any difference in times, actually its easier to launch with my system in the trunk

 

hell, I think 20lbs is on the high side. The seats don't weigh squat and I can't imagine the belts being much either. You're looking at negligible weight, most likely

 

Not more than my ball sack thats for sure....so i that'll be around 10 lbs.

 

The belt tensioner mechanisms are quite heavy...don't know about the rear but the fronts are about 3 lbs each. 20 was a high guess though....seats do weigh squat....

Better to take a big dump and loose some weight....for me that would be worth double that

 

If you took out all 3 seats, seat belts, all speakers and head unit, ac, and all panels, would that save you a worthwhile amount of weight? Just curious myself.

 

I am sure the AC weighs alot
