Keep in mind "standard" is non-sport usually.
If you have a base model, automatic, then you might have "standard".
If it is a Manual Transmission, or is a Touring or Grand Touring, or is a base automatic with the Sport package added, then you have the "Sport" suspension, which is considered "normal" as it is ~95% or so of all RX-8s out there, and might be referred to as 'standard'.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
Nothing wrong buying on ebay. Just make sure your buying from a reputable seller. Sport suspension usually has a stiffer ride than a regular standard suspension.

Ive never had a problem, be sure to read all the fine print make sure its specific for the RX8 cause some stuff on there is so "universal" it never fits right.

i'm afraid the only real way to find out is to do what 8upbad said. but hey, i survived, and now i know what trim level i have. hah. I am not positive, but i would hesitate a guess that you have the sport suspension.
