Talking How to feel better about the mpg

Do like me, get a AAA credit card with 5% gas rebate.
Then you have no excuse to not Rev-up your baby!

On another note, my friend just bought an R32 ( with $3000 mark-up, outch! ) and guess what is his mpg ?....12.5 mile/gallon and he is not even redlining it.

Get a raise at work - declare it in the name of gasoline.

Premium really isn't that bad. I live in Michigan, which is the double-edged sword of pump gas--you can get any grade from 86 to 94 (a station one mile away from me has race gas at the pump!) . . . but it costs a ton. Just filled up with Sunoco 94 at $2.30 a gallon; the 87 octane was still $2.03. That's a difference of 27 cents, times 11 gallons (in my Sunfire), for total difference of $2.97. Since I moonlight delivering pizzas, I have to fill up weekly. That's 52 times $2.97 = $154.44, or less than a tenth of what I pay in insurance--and that's the difference between 87 and 94! Personally, it's just a matter of protecting my investment-or, in the case of my Sunfire, my father's investment (looooooong story).

Peace

Yes any gas station, as long as you pay at the pump with your credit card.
Arco is the only gas station that doesn't accept credit card at the pump.

oh id never consider putting 87 in my car, she deserves only the best. like you said at the end of the year its only 150 bucks, and isnt she worth it...hell yes.

Still though if anyone has found one of these elusive rivers of premium, can i attach an aqueduct or something lol

lol hilarious signature, i hear putting in a windshield sticker has caused some cars to gain 40-50hp and 50lbs of low end torque.

Aw... My local 87 octane gas ranges from $2.35 to $2.45. For 89 and 91 octane, add $0.05 per point of octane to that.

I miss New Jersey, where I bet it's still under $1.50. There is ONE redeeming feature of living in "The Refinery State" -- cheap gas. :P

How to feel better for me is to know that my RX8 gets the best mpg out of all my cars. It beats a Sequoia, and since I added Stage 1.1 now it gets around 25mpg, with some hard driving in there, while my highlander v4 gets 24 mpg.

my car gets great gas mileage and i've cut my refill to only like once a month. all i had to do was get this little plastic pump that i attach to my neighbor's cars. ever since i've installed this mod my 8 has rarely been empty on gas. my neighbor however reports that his cars have been mysteriously eating up great quantities of gas over night.

Not that good actually. I guess too much refining has moved out of state. Anywho NJ is between the high $1.90's to $2.10 for premium. Take .10 off for each grade. For the first time in a while, PA actually has prices competitive with NJ, so when I am PA, I fill up so I can control what the gas cap is hittin'.
