Well on my way home I decided to floored it on my 04 RX8 and it went up to 126 MPH and stopped... I'm wondering if speed limiter caused that. How do you remove that by the way? Also how fast have you ever gone?

hahaha warranty?? dont worry about that i got the car for $2500 and spent another $2500 on it. thats it. the car got 52000 miles. ahhh yes its a 4 speed auto but i always use the Manual mode. by the way how do you use the paddle shifters??? and no i dont have the manual book.

 

AT's do have a limiter. MT's do not. They are limited only by aero drag (about 150 mph).

 

142 mph but it was on the German Autobahn so it was legal I could have gone faster but I was still getting passed by other cars so I just let up on the gas a coasted a few miles until I got down to about 90mph.

 

Cobb ap can remove the limiter no? or just the rev limiter>??

I have gone like 20MPH down my street. Sometimes I even get up to 80MPH on the highway. Matter of fact I am pretty sure I have gone from 0 all the way to infinity and beyond.

Yep....my max on the German autobahn was also around 140 mph Some guys on the German RX-8 forum have posted speeds over 245kmh...around 153mph :-)
If you drive regularly at high speeds you get tend to get used to it. I don't - so around 160-170kmh (100mph) is pretty smooth for me.

Can't wait till Summer to try out my new rims and tires on the autobahn

Im not sure of the exact mph. but I know that my spedo stopped reading numbers, and read, "danger, danger, approaching warp speed" Only happened once, After that vtec kicked in and i got scared.

 

What a bunch of pussies,you own a vehicle that will reach warp speed and are to scared to enjoy it, may as well sell it and by a neon or civic, geeez, my wife drives mine ,err, ours at 200kmph on a regular basis, its a 'sports" car, give it some stick. Yeah yeah ,theres those that say its dangerous and cant afford the tickets, I'm almost 50 and the wife is 27,you only live once,make the most of it.I've noticed most ppl in this forum prefer to make there ride look pretty,IMO they should be buying makeup instead.
