Screw making it sound like a V8, if it can't make it sound like the 787B it ain't worth getting. End of discussion. Most disgusting thing you could do to an RX is to start making it sound like a piston engine car. Don't even get me started on people that do V8 drop ins on FD RX-7s.

you cant drop a v8 ON a FD... unless you wanna squash it. you can drop one IN. i guss you havent heard other 26Bs or 20Bs... or even a 600+ whp 13brew with stock internals.

Good job, read a little more slowly and closely next time.

Don't even get me started on people that do V8 drop ins on FD RX-7s.

All of the exhaust clips I have heard add a deeper, smoother sound. If I hear a sound like that outside, I don't bother turning my head because I know it is a beat up old Honda Civic. One tip I have to offer is, just drive in 1st gear all around town. And when accelerating from a halt, operate the clutch nice and easy, but once that is done, give it as much gas as possible and stay in 1st gear. Absolutely does not sound like a Civic with aftermarket exhaust. Maybe like a 16 year old though. Just kidding, but only sort of.

So, what's the sound of a big block hemi at 9k?

trick question. There is no sound after the explosion.
