I used to do the BBS thing too. Used to run a BBS on OS/2 I didn't get far, had a bad reputation because I liked to find exploits and ... exploit them. LORD, BRE, etc. All bowed to me. Then when my noob accounts ruled the games, I got banned. So when I started my own board, no one wanted to 'link' to me, since these were the days when one board dialed the next, and we relayed data instead of doing long distance calls direct. It was a lonely existence. But hacking is what got me programming. My mom still to this day tells me not to talk to strangers online.

You guys better not tell her I'm doing it :P

About 6 years ago I joined up over at spursreport.com, a San Antonio Spurs message board. I didn't want a plain jane username, but my creative juices weren't flowing and I couldn't think of a good username.

So I signed up as "To be named later" and introduced myself, and explained I could not think of a name, and asked for suggestions, and said I would name myself later. After about a week or so of getting some good ideas, it was suggested that maybe "To be named later" was best. Many agreed., so I kept it.

My last name, but Polish. My brother "picked" it when he and his friends were coming up with ethnic nicknames for each other at West Point. You know, because there's no booze and girls.

Mine comes from the disease, a friend started calling me so after i did an online marathon playing some shooting game "you're mad as a cow" in 1998, then everybody kept saying i was mad on the gridiron etc so i still use it even if with different meanings.

My first initial with a number that I use all the time (not something worth stealing). Use this screen name on everything.

Paintus peelus roofus leakus !
In extreemus alexis .

In my early 20's (long time ago) that is how we used to talk in the flat I was in and Brettus Maximus was the logical name for me - which was fairly tame compared to some of the other flatmates names ....

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, when I was younger, my older brother created my first AOL Screen Name, which was GaMEChld. I liked video games, and I still do. I use it as a username on forums and other things.
