How to connect to a iphone

So I have a 10 rx8 and it has Bluetooth. Problem is when I try and pair it with my phone it can not find my iPhone. It’s a iPhone X and I’ve tried every way I could think of. Even using voice command it won’t find my phone. It’s not the phone cause it connects to all my synce stuff in my other vehicles.
Any ideas?

Some cars have this issue. I would try this...
1. Check to see if your Mazda is listed in BT list (it might be listed but not fully paired)
2. Remove the Mazda listed
3. Shut down your phone completely
4. Turn phone back on
5. Restart the pairing procedure listed in your manual (see my 10 GT manual excerpt below)

I agree with wannawankle's advice to delete any pairings already indicated on the phone. The iPhone 10 uses bluetooth version 5.0. I believe a 2010 RX-8 would have used version 2.1 or 3.0 depending on when the radio was manufactured. While BT is backward compatible there are glitches particularly when phone software is updated. This is because the software is the communicator between the car and the phone. If you still have issues after following the above advice, then get on the iPhone forums and see if it is an apple iOS issue.
