First off I am not the guy from autozone.....next why the hell is everyone "hating" on this guy. Going out on a limb here... What if they did not have the part you were looking for, it is common practice to recomend other stores. You could have asked him "are you out or do you not carry this product?" Maybe I can't "Read" any attitude your "Heard". Not to beat up your story I just don't see this being that big of a deal without knowing the other guy's attitude. Finnally, your departing comment to the AZ Guy...."...recall on idiots" ...well that would not have been my choice.
Everyone else,
The getting laid line has to go as well (not a monk or any thing). Run him over..yeah thats it (Not). How about have a mature discussion about how pleasurable the car is regardless of any of its downfalls.
Again I am not some autozone crusader but nobody (that i have notice) took this position on this thread yet so I figured what the hell.

I don't think he was upset that the employee recomended him to another store, but rather that he would call him out in the parking lot and make fun of him.

How did he make fun of him? depending on how you read it it could have been more of a puplic service anouncement. "Dean" was not clear on that. we all just assume the AZ guy's tone was sarcastic.

I would be glad to clear things up.
The guy was sarcastic even about the Radio Shack. It was more of "Why would you even try us. Go to Radio Shack."
And when the guy was outside with a couple of people and made the comment about "Hey, you know their is a recall on your car" he said it right in front of other people in the parking lot and then turned his head as to laugh to the other people. I do not know it for a fact but I am willing to bet he said "Hey watch this guys" before he made the comment BUT I do not know that for a fact.
Could I have misread him? Doubtful. He was too much of a smart-*** about the whole thing.
I made no judgement on him telling me to go to Radio Shack. It was like 8:00pm on a Sunday evening and I knew they were open. I thought I would drop buy on my way home and at least see. I actually have bought a DC splitter from Autozone before.
The fact that we had ended our conversation and he is lined up on the other side of parking lot and basically yells the comment tells me he is just an *******.
Some people are just ******. I suggest they consider some field other than retail.

Where are you at town wise...lets get a 8 get together in that AZ parking lot and then just before we head out on a nice drive together got tell the manager he is look at a bunch of none customers. or someting like that.
BTW thank you for clearing it up..My post are very often confusing and need lots of explanation yours was not nearly that bad but there was the slim chance folks here were going into Hater mode for no reason.

Can't believe how hijacked this is. WOW. Dude was being sarcastic. I would have said something right back. Life is unfair ONLY if you let it be.
And about WANTING more power out of the 8..... that is not what this is about. It about the principle of buying a car that is SUPPOSED to do this and have that, but REALLY only does this and has that. Principality, Smokey..... it's about the Principality.

Why would you guys even be angry if his comments were completely false? If someone walked up to me and told me there was a recall for the G35 because 40hp was missing I'll just smile and walk away. If they are the idiots, then why get angry over it?
