Question Horn Sound?

I love just about everything on my Pro5 except the horn, so I'm wondering what kind of sound the RX-8 horn makes and whether people like it or not. This is the one thing I forgot to check on my test drive. I really enjoy laying on a horn that screams "get the $#%&&# out of the way" to jaywalking pedestrians and left-lane grandmas.

You can change them I suppose... I did not have a chance to test it yet... anyone really go ahead to record them?

Don't do it now... it look stupid! :D

Horn... I would rev my engine to show frustration...

I get the impression you would not like the 8's sound, but rather need big air horns.

Get you some "big-rig" horns at your local truck stop. Then you can blast that F'n horn at pedestians and other low-lifes that dont know better than to get out of your way.

Dont forget the neons below and the tail fins to go with......

In all seriousness, the 8 has a "good" horn...it's a two note affair that's LOUD!

It's not a "whimpy" little beeper at all.

Whatever. Maybe people in Indiana know how to cross a street properly, but they're awful here. Hope you get stuck behind a whole line of grandmas.

Eccles, thanks for the recording! Sounds much firmer than the Pro5. Should suffice :D

Every minute detail of this car has been analyzed ad nauseum on the site. Can't a guy have an honest question about the horn sound? Obviously it's not a make or break item. As a bonus, after hearing Eccles' clip, now I can have realistic full audio in my RX-8 daydreams, rather than just engine, stereo and road. Thanks again, Eccles!
