perfect volume if you like aggressive sounds, lightest exhaust (19lbs if i remember mine), and possibly the best designed for direct bolt on. you'll love it.
also mysql though you did have a turbo you also had a midpipe which would make it to loud. If you run stock cat its just right (well just right for me)

most any catback for the rx-8 with a turbo and catless is OK. The HKS hi-power is really loud compared to the borla I had on previously, so I didn't use this exhaust for long.
Also the exhaust note is a bit on the ricey side. Some people like that, some don't. At WOT it sounds really good, but at partial throttle it made me cringe. But like you said, with the stock cat, it might be perfectly fine. check out my clip for a side by side comparison:

like the guys up top said, its loud with a aftermarket cat. Im using ot with the stock cat without turbo and it sounds perfect.
Btw mysql, how can it sound ricey? Its a rotary for heavens sake! Haha
