What you are saying in effect is you're to lazy to actually worry about grammar and will use your phone (input device) as a crutch (excuse) and you don't care about anyone else and the difficulties they have reading the post.
Furthermore you're still going to be over sensitive about people critiquing your post (grammar police) even though they have no real way of knowing that the content was created from a device more suited for media consumption than media creation.

edit:
My point is I wish there were fewer posts from mobile devices, as there are many who feel the same as you about posting from a phone.
I come here to learn about my 8 not when and how to use commas. Most of us use all touch devices so how can you not expect errors? I could care less how it looks. Also that semi colon before "but" in my earlier post was obviously an error and smart *** up there needs to grow up. This thread is dead to me.

Actually, most DON'T use mobile devices.

Although, even when I do, I can get it right.

And this thread has been dead for a while

Have to agree here. This forum is for learning and sharing experiences with your 8's. I like to contribute where I can as well for other new members or even older members who still can learn a thing or two.

We're not a spelling bee or punctuation forum, whose sole goal is train us to become champions of the English language.

I kindly ask a Mod to just close this thread now before more of us consider selling the 8 and buying a Civic so we can have a forum full of these threads.

Dirky,
You're getting butt hurt and it's your own doing. You came in and assumed that paimon was calling you an idiot and started the childish sarcasm and assumptions about other members. Then, when pointed out by other and paimon that he was not calling you an idiot, you kept up with the butt hurt and didn't believe it, and started to argue with WCS. You brought the flaming on yourself. Pick your epeen up off of the table, put a bandaid on your ***, and move one.

Are-Ex: sure the grammar **** stuff doesn't need to be here, but i do have to agree that being lazy and not using what you know adds to the failure of threads. When newbs get butt hurt over something that wasn't even directed at them, continue to pick a fight with everyone that posts to the contrary, threads get messy and it makes our forum look like a shitty civic board.

Actually, proper grammar does have a place on this forum. If you are asking a question or making a statement then it is important to compose it in a way as to be concise, informative, and to have proper/appropriate diction. Even if all three of these are employed, it becomes nothing more than a jumble of words when proper grammar is not implemented.

There's a quote on here (and I can't remember who said it first) that goes: "Ask a dumb question, get a dumb answer. That's how it works." To many of us, part of an intelligent question is stating it properly, which in turn requires the use of proper grammar.

I thought you were done with this thread? If you really are, click edit on your first post and delete it, then the entire thread will be gone and you can move on.

He's not the OP 9k, he came in @ post 4 with good info that no one here would disagree with. It went south from there.

Obviously he's not done, he came back at me as well.

e-peen contests are fun. You should put your's on the table too.

I thought that the only dumb questions are those not asked. I could be wrong - I didn't ask.

So let's turn this thread into something useful. Can anyone help me find a link for a good DIY on brake caliper painting?

Thanks.

Wow. I honestly didn't see that guys k&n post! I truly feel like an idiot and I apologize for my responses in this thread.

Name calling is still pretty childish why not correct the guy for being wrong rather than calling him an idiot? Most of you vets look down on us noobs anyways and instead of correcting/helping us out we just get stupid smart *** replies. Im sure most of you were in our shoes before right? Ive noticed that alot since i joined in august 2011. The guys that possess all the knowledge are the least helpful ones (based on what ive seen). This place isn't that friendly. Just my 2 cents

My apologies to paimon for sure. I do most of my browsing from the mobile site 99% of the time and it really needs an overhaul. Cant believe I didn't see that post -_-

Also, http://www.cflrx8club.com/viewtopic....da927a2774bef6

Maybe slightly better than the other one. At any rate, painting calipers is a very easy task. Just take of the wheel(s), clean, tape off what you don't want painted, paint what you do, apply more coats, allow to dry, carefully take of masking, put wheel back on.

It's cool dude. **** happens. (all the time here)

You are correct in that we were all newbs once. We've all taken our beatings here and there, and some of us more than otheres. Nice first post in this thread by the way. You answered the question, and pushed the "search noob" button

Appreciate the links. I want to give this a try at some point. Might take a while with only one jack to remove one wheel at a time haha.
