Help! recently bought rx-8 and had nothign but problems :*(

I hope you don't mean to stop using your regular motor oil.
The 2-stroke oil (premix) supplements your regular oil in lubricating parts of the rotor.
The regular oil is added via the oil injectors, while the 2-cycle oil rides the fuel injectors.
Try what Ash8 recommends and dump about 10oz 2-cycle oil to your fuel tank, fill it up and see if that improves the noise situation.
I personally use 5oz premix every fill up but this is a diagnostic routine to see if the premix alleviates the noise issue, so 10oz is fine. You can choose to keep using 10oz or scale back later. There are no conclusive metrics that show which amount is best.
If you're worried about negative effects of premix, all I know is that the RX-7 guys have been doing this for a long time. There is some conjecture that it may clog up some fuel delivery components, but nothing is conclusive.
Ultimately though and IIRC, it appears to help lubricate the center portion of the apex seals.

Great , thanks for the info guys . i will try this over the next few days and post back with a new video to compare the two and hopfully see the diffrence
one last question , i have searched and read a few threads but its all talk of this protek r 2 stroke. is regualr 2 stroke (high quality one) ok to use

YES...Use the 10 OZ (4-500 mil) INITIALLY on a full tank of Petrol..
See how that goes then perhaps scale it back...and report back here.
Yes, a Good Quality 2 Stroke for Bikes is excellent, try and avoid TCW III for marine use.
I use Amsoil Saber Pro (Expensive) so is Motul 800...you get the drift..
You won't hurt anything (including Injectors..that is rubbish), your engine will thank you for regular Pre-Mixing of around 6-8 Oz, you WILL notice better performance and smoothness.
It gives you better compressions.
See how that goes then perhaps scale it back...and report back here.

I put that there after I traced his IP to the UK. Maidstone actually, S.E. of London.
That doesn't change any of your recommendations. Someone that doesn't know any better may start spouting warranty information or something of the sort not realizing that it doesn't fit for his location. It's happened many times.

Hi guys thanks for all the advice and help
Started my premix today at first im sure i noticed a change in the sound but might have been in my head lol,ive done 100 miles so far on the premix.
The car defo feels a lot smoother when driving,now im premixing should i do the disconnect battery trick and brake pumping to reset every thing or would this be pointless?
I will up date my profile straight after i type this
And yeh thats the dishearting thing when i bought the car i thoguht i had a bargain and then used all the spare cash i had doing what i have done so far which has fetched around £2000.
a really silly question but do u think it would be worth me taking it to another exhaust garage to double check no exhaust leaks from the manifold area (maybe a lose bolt)
And brettus if the problem gets any worse wat so ever then a compression test is my next move i think , thanks for the advice , much <3

For whatever reason, catless rotary exhaust stinks! One of many reasons I will not run without one.
At some point have a Mazda dealer check to see that the engine control unit (PCM) has been given the MSP-16 reflash which came out in ~2007 for the USA. I don't know if it applies to UK, but it does address a number of driveability issues, including flooding. At least here, the Mazda dealer will flash it for free.

I would imagine a sideseal failure would allow a lot of blowby into the crankcase which would lead to a lot of oily gunk in the intake and diluted oil - might be worth checking both .....

Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor.
Vibrates at idle. Check the passenger side "motor mount". There is a TSB, but Mazda is not replacing them. The new one is improved. It is fairly easy DIY. You can try filling the old one with polyurathane or similar. Search RX8club for DIY.
