OK, I am still searching for my RX8. I know I want a grant touring package. I would prefer Stormy Blue Mica or Red. So I have a few options.

Option 1. Wait till the 2008's are available and get what I want. OR

Option 2. Get a 2007 and deal with what color is available with the package I want.

What would you do?

What is the consciences that Mazda will do something special for 2008. Hopefully a 40th Anniversary addition RX8. That would make the wait more than worth it.

 

Do both 1 & 2, once the 2008's come out 2007's will be much cheaper.

Nothing big will happen for 2008, if it was it would have been posted here by now.

 

A few dealers around here still have new '06 models around! There are deals to be had.

I just picked up a new 2006 at 5k under invoice. It also comes with a better warranty than the 07's. Not sure if Mazda is changing warranty terms again in 08?

 

I'd shoot for an '06 if you can find one with very low miles.

 

Be patient. These cars are not flying out the doors. Keep tabs on the inventory of dealers Link. You'll find what you want and like was already mentioned with the 2008s come out the 07s are going to be cheaper.

 

Well I found my 8 tonight. It is a 07 Black Grand touring with appearance package. I got the car out the door with the 01 Miata traded in for 27K. They only gave me 5900 for the Miata. That’s OK it has 115K on the clock and it is a sport package. I pick up the car on Wednesday night. My credit Union does not cut checks until Wednesday Afternoon. So I can not wait to tint it... Congrats- this car looks good in black, and it's nice you got all the GT goodies too. After coming from a lesser Mazda myself (Protege') I wanted to treat myself good this time, and I'm glad I did.

 

Ya now the worst time ever. The wait till Delivery day. I sware that I will not sleep until next weekend... LOL LOL I feel like a kid on The week of Christmass.

Brilliant Black / Stormy Blue Mica are the two best colors for the 8 IMO. Congrats on the 8.......be sure to post pics once you get the car!

Good choice. Black was my first color chioce. I ended up going with VR simply because I was able to get a much better deal with what they had on the lot.

Finally took time from driving around. 500 miles in a weekend. I didn’t even go any where. Just could not stop driving this car. I am so in love. Even more so than I was with the Miata's. So here are some pics.
