I found a 2004 rx-8 grand touring with a new dealer installed engine 15000 miles ago. The change was made because of a recall. The guy has the papers to prove the engine is new and dealer installed. The bad part is the rest of the car has 140000 miles on it. It has leather, 6 speed of course, sunroof, power everything, silver, aftermarket wheels and low profile tires that have little wear. Oil was changed every 3000 miles and checked often. The car looks sharp from the pictures.

He wants 10600 for it. Good idea?

 

That's a ton of miles. I wouldn't go anywhere near that thing

 

10.6k would be a decent price for, say 50 or 60k miles. 140k miles is a lot. i know the motor only as 15k, but...

if it were like a lot cheaper, like 7 or 8 grand, then maybe it'd be a good deal...
