Good to be back!

My last post was in 2008! At the time, I owned a '05 GT 6-speed. We loved that car. It had quite a few suspension tweaks which transformed it into something uniquely special. My third (and final) son was born that year and one of his first rides was in the RX8. Unfortunately, the car succumbed to Hurricane Sandy in '12 and I thought that would be the last of it.

Fast forward, my son is approaching his 15th birthday and proposed we find a car to tweak together as a bonding experience. As luck would have it, we just purchased the twin of our old car, a 1-owner, stock, fully-loaded, CA-registered, Velocity Red '07 GT 6-speed with 14k miles and had it shipped to CT. I don't know which one of us is more excited.

Were there any significant improvements between the '05 and '07 GT's? This one feels more planted 'as is' than the '05 in stock mode. The window sticker includes strut braces and 'sport suspension'. I don't recall if my '05 came so equipped. Any ideas?

Welcome back.
Somewhere here is a thread breaking down the difference in the models and trims but I can't remember it.
