I was reading in past posts that the 2005 models ended up getting an additional $4000 manufacturer's incentive to sell them when the 06 models arrived.

I think that it will be even worse this year in terms of remaining 06 inventory. Dealers have tons of them and they appear to be moving slowly. All the used ones compound that.

What month did the $4000 incentive show up? Was it Sept. 05? Thinking of waiting for a 06.

I don't know of any $4K incentive writtin on paper...but if yur lucky enough to still find an 05, there's an unwritting "incentive" that yur almost promised to get no less then $6K off of the car. If they don't give you even that, it's simple to walk away.

It's normal to hear of $7K to almost $9K getting knocked off of 05's because of their rush to move them in place of the 06/07's that are to arrive.

Use their slow sales to your advantage. You can walk away at any time. Dealer's can't get rid of their 05's whenever they want. You're willingness to walk away any time will definetely give you a severe upper hand!
