Going Shopping for My 8 this week!!!
Well after about a year of deciding between cars and getting the money together. I am going to pick up my RX8 this week. I've researched and test drove all the cars that i've liked; WRX, SRT4, RX8, RSX, and S2000. My only complaint is everyone elses. the gas mileage, but i recently got transfered and my job is literally 5min away. So this will work out. I live in florida and with recent hurricanes and end of the year sales i am hoping to get a killer deal. One dealer has 45 RX8s on their lot from what i was told on the fone earlier today. I am hoping someone could give a me a good price i should expect to pay given all these circumstances and dilema's on the dealers hands and wanting to remain the #1 mazda dealership in the country. I am looking for either a Black, Titanium Gray or SSilver. I am heavily leaning towards the black or silver. 6spd, no options or just the sports package(is the DSC that big of a deal). I've been lurking and reading this board for quite a while. it'll be nice to join in further discussion once i acquire my car. I currently own a 97 Eagle Talon, and it just needs to go.
Many TIA!!!! :D

I'd go for the Sport package. If not for the DSC then for the Xenon headlights. I never want another car without them. When I take my old Cherokee out at night it feels like I'm driving blindfolded.
DSC does work though. Worth it if you ever drive around in wet weather, which of course you will!
Enjoy whatever you decide.

If you can afford the sports package get it,but it isn't a have to have option as far as I am concerned.I drove a touring model with that stuff(not at night though)and I didn't think it was that much of a difference than my base model.I was going for cheap cheap, and the base had everything I wanted, and then some.I bet you could swing a better deal on a base model because they don't seem to be as popular. If money were no object for me I would have got the sport package, but like I said it wasn't a big deal for me not having that stuff, and maybe in the future it will make a better race car, being lighter in weight and such, but what do I know.
I leased my car back in early august and got $4250 off of invoice with the great incentives Mazda was giving at the time.I got it for a smidge over $21K which is 6K off of sticker. This is in Massachusetts though.Good luck.
