Cool Gauge lighting problem....

Hey guys, I purchased my 04 back in Nov. and it was fine. At night with the lights on the gauges would become red correct?

I took my car into servicing because of serious grinding going into 5th gear and they replaced it but i noticed something. The gauges stayed white with the head lights on or off. Not turning to the usual red it is supposed to at night time. It kind of bothers me because it is a little too bright when driving at night and maybe thats why Mazda made them a little dimmer with the red.

Anyone come across this problem, if so what should I do?

There is an adjustment ...you have them set to daylight.

Grab your manual...snuggle up in a good chair and read it...it will tell you a lot.

A hint...it's by your DSC button left knee

have you heard that if you push the volume button, it turns the radio on and off? i just wanted you to know just in case you got it back from the dealer and it was off...wouldn't want you to worry that your radio is broken.
